Abstract

|
Although designing and building multiprocessor systems has proceeded at a dramatic pace, the development of effective ways to program them has generally not. And the immense complexity of parallel computation can only increase our dependence on software. So the future of parallel computing depends on the creation of simple but effective parallel programming models. As an attempt to develop those models, the writer developed another version of SubMiranda compiler which was enhanced with the ability of source level mapping of tasks to processors. The result of experiments show the advantages of the introduced technique.
